The infamous Toronto Mayor Rob Ford once said, “Yes,
I have smoked crack cocaine… Probably in one of my drunken stupors.” Greg Gallo’s
selfie, “Cycle of Crack,” (a Rob Ford impersonation) evoked laughter immediately.
Gallo matches Ford’s glassy eyes, multiple chins, and the contours of his mouth
perfectly. In both pieces, the face is the focus, drawing in the eye of the
viewer. Gallo apparently had a lot of fun with it and I certainly did as well.
Ford was a crazy and hilarious politician and “Cycle of Crack” captures his essence perfectly.
